All the wily strategies Charlie had used for filling the pork barrel, he now exercises in his sacred cause. Among his co-conspirators are one of his mistresses, a Houston doyenne named Joanne Herring (Julia Roberts) and a scuzzy, belligerent, occasionally brilliant CIA agent (Philip Seymour Hoffman). Hoffman reminds us that, along with his weird and salutary ability to burrow into any character, he is a great line-reader — a crucial asset to a script with the welter of exposition that Sorkin's has (along with many big laughs and even more subversive ones). Roberts gets to parade her luster in evening gowns and bikinis; she amps up the cunning warmth, and we note only in passing that in early middle-age she's starting to frost over into Glenn Close. Hanks, liberated from playing anguished do-gooders, unlocks a lot of raffish energy and gets that famous whine out of his voice. He makes Charlie a larger-than-life, conniving, lascivious ... all right, do-gooder, but one you wouldn't mind sharing a drink or a hot tub with. Nichols moves this along with the easy assurance of someone who's being doing it, and doing it well, for ages — The Graduate was released 40 years ago today — yet hasn't lost his stroke or his speed. Those deft directorial touches, and the intelligence the movie both exudes and assumes from its audience, put Charlie Wilson's War up there with Hollywood's grand old comedies: the Preston Sturges and Billy Wilder movies about slick schemers and their slicker women. The Nichols-Sorkin film is so much fun, you will not only forget all of Hollywood's serioso war movies, you may forget the international calamities that Wilson's largesse indirectly led to. Cabbage and Sweet Potato Parathas

Sweet potatoes are high in beta carotene and a fibrous and nutritious vegetable. The soft nature of this paratha makes it s a great snack for children as young as months. I have fallen in love with these parathas. Adding cabbage to the parathas makes it extra delicious soft and crispy as well. Excellent wholesome meal for children and a snack for school. Can be served to children over months of age or children who have attained the ability to chew well. Add little water about tablespoon if required to make the dough smooth. The dough will be soft and non sticky. Make lemon sized balls and roll them out thin to approximately inches in diameter. Note tossing the dough in dry flour while rolling will prevent it from getting sticky when rolling them out. Put the rolled parathas on the medium hot skillet. Cook for about a minute flip over and add teaspoon of ghee in and around the paratha. Lightly press the parathas while on the skillet so the dough gets cook! ed further from the inside as well. Flip and cook the other side for about a minute. Cook until light golden spots appear on the parathas. Serve with a lemon pickle or pickle of your choice and yogurt. Children can savor it with a cup of yogurt roll it up with honey or any other favorite accompaniment. Note Care should be taken when feeding children over months. The SMG substitutes an electronically operated clutch for the regular clutch pedal, and we don't love it. We recommend getting the six-speed manual. Both coupes and convertibles have a back seat that can fit small people in a pinch, but are really intended to move two people and their belongings in high comfort, style and safety. The 650i is more luxurious than the Z4, and delivers higher performance, more agility and sportier styling than the 5 Series sports sedans. The M6 sacrifices some of the Grand Touring comforts of the 650i in favor of a more aggressive handling package and stratospheric acceleration performance. Introducing my Great Grandfather

Kudos to all Photoshop experts out there I d rather you than me. This picture shows my great grandfather with my dad s older siblings. He s a person I know very little about even though he s not that far removed from me. Puzzles aren t meant to be unsolved. Where he fought or which regiment he was in I ve no idea. DJD set up and owned a garage which included taxis lorries repairs and petrol. From this he seemed to acquire a a good few houses plus land. No one alive knows why this happened and a really curious thing to do. I ve even done a Probate search on this man and his wife but no luck.

So while I m on the topic of music let me tell you about free music. For years I have wondered if there was a legal way to get free music. I love itunes and everything. but it s cents a song. songs is almost Crazy. A friend of mine told me that there was a free alternative. At first I thought that was impossible. I decided to check it out. and it s true Free legal music downloads for college students I have an ipod and use itunes. which are unfortunately incompatible with Ruckus actually. Ruckus isn t even compatible with Apple Macs at all. although there are ways to make it work . Ruckus has a music selection similar to that of Napster . I think it is amazing that something like this exists for college students. Sorry to anyone who isn t in college. although you can pay around a month to use Ruckus if you aren t in college. but hey it s free You may be wondering. On top of that many universities pay ruckus to get additional music services for their ! students. All of these sources combined allow college students to download free music.
