I couldn t understand. Or even put a name it Someone suggested to find a quiet place and listen. that when you feel this way you need to embrace the quiet. You need to find your center and listen to God. You feel turmoil within because something is imbalanced inside of you. There is a reason for this feeling. You know what it is but you are ignoring it. Only when you are quiet will it come to you and you will then be able to ask God to guide you in the right direction. I get the feeling from you that you don t like the quiet. Budget Previews and analysis Darling to introduce year fixed mortgages HMRC ignoring rich and targeting middle class As the Chancellor prepares for his first Budget on Wednesday he is under pressure to concede that the slowing economy has left a multi billion pound shortfall in his accounts. In order to maintain Labour s spending plans he must either raise taxes or borrow more. Treasury sources have already indicated that Mr Darling is likely to use new taxes to raise money Economists expect Mr Darling to borrow as much as billion in as a slowing economy hits Government revenues. That is a billion increase on the Treasury s previous plans for the year. Although that may avert up front tax increases paying off the extra borrowing to comply with Treasury rules to balance the books over the economic cycle will ultimately need to be met by the taxpayer. Grant Thornton an accountancy firm said the cost is equal ! to for every household. There is a consensus among economic commentators that there is a black hole of unsustainable borrowing and it is this hole that will have to be filled with tax rises eventually said Maurice Fitzpatrick an economist at the firm. Grant Thornton s forecasts of a billion overshoot in borrowing are consistent with City economists projections which suggest extra borrowing of between billion and billion in the next year with further rises in the two following years. advertisement Treasury sources have already indicated that Mr Darling is likely to use new taxes on alcohol gas guzzling cars and airline flights to raise money. But an economic slowdown is likely to force the Chancellor to admit that he will still have to borrow more than he had planned. In October Mr Darling forecast growth in of two per cent to . per cent. Opponents said Gordon Brown failed to use years of strong economic growth to store up a Government surplus for the years of weaker growth now under way. George Osborne the shadow chancellor said yesterday We ve borrowed too much as a country. We ve wasted years of global economic growth and left ourselves with the worst budget deficit in Europe. There is not the room to promise huge tax cuts. We have the worst budget deficit of any major economy in the world. The criticism is echoed in a report from the Reform think tank which warns that taxes will have to rise substantially if the Government is to continue its lavish! funding of the public sector. It says that taxpayers will be stung by even higher bills in the approaching lean period in order to feed Mr Brown s unreformed bloated public sector. The Budget comes amid major concerns for the health of the American economy. Experts are united in their assessment that the country is in recession. Friday April Earthquake This morning between and am I was nursing Ally on the bed and Nate was up about to get in the shower when the apartment shook. It was so strange. Nate said that he had just turned on the water and everything shook for a second so he turned it off and just stood there for a sec to see what was going on. I was sitting on the bed nursing and felt the bed start to wobble back and forth. I could also hear sounds of the TV and windows moving. The bed continued to wobble back and forth a little for a minute afterward. It freaked me out. Indiana can experience earthquakes according to the government website for Indiana and it has on previous occasions. I guess it could have been the wind but I didn t hear the wind blowing hard and it is quiet out now. It could have been something to do with the water turning on but why w! ould that have made the bed shake back and forth. I wondered if a large plane going over could have caused it but that seems unlikely too. Very strange. Pat Boone WorldNetDaily I remembered it only vaguely so I pulled out my Encyclopedia Americana and read the following about the pied piper of Hamelin According to a German legend he was a magician who promised to rid the town of Hamelin from rats for a stipulated sum of money. He performed his task by playing on his pipe as he walked to the Weser River and the rats following the music were charmed into the river and drowned. On the citizens then refusing to pay the money the piper took up his pipe once more and led the way out of the town followed by children who vanished forever. So what s my point I see the leading Democrat candidate for the office of president of the United States as eerily similar to the fabled pied piper. Barack Obama emerged out of national obscurity with an oration at the Democrat convention in and since then has steadily charmed millions in his own party and even some Republicans and independents into thinking he has magical abilities to effect chang! e and unite the country. Though there s little in his brief political career to substantiate this notion and though he has offered little in explanation of how he d perform this magic he s a slick and polished public speaker who has all but vanquished the former front runner Hillary Clinton and crushed her long held political dream. Another very sobering troubling similarity This Illinois magician seems to have captured the imagination and adulation of a large segment of America s young. Where he says he ll lead they are lining up to follow though nobody knows where that is. He hasn t been there himself but he paints a mystical attractive picture of a united harmonious progressive land where all needs are magically attended by a loving government. Almost socialistic nirvana though he doesn t use those words. Of course the mesmerized young and the entranced older followers don t seem to grasp that big government is us the millions of beleaguered overtaxed desperately hard wo! rking citizens who will admittedly be taxed even more heavily all manipulated by politicians like Obama and Clinton doling out our money to accomplish their ambitions all the while making us think we re getting something for nothing. Talk about a magic spell The young prospective voters flocking to every Obama rally and screaming like they re at a rock concert are the very ones the NEA has decreed don t need to be taught about the original concepts on which our nation was founded. And to my real dismay I ve heard from mature knowledgeable people even some Republicans who are so impressed with the magician s ability to involve our young people in the political process that they re endorsing his candidacy all the while confessing that they disagree with him on many fundamental issues What in the heck is going on Some kind of voodoo Hopefully more hard facts and some revelations will expose! the inexperience and sleight of hand imagery of this pied piper from Illinois. I ve just read a bone chilling account by Jill Stanek in Citizen magazine of the time she and others lobbying for passage of the state Born Alive Infant Protection Act confronted then newly elected U.S. Sen. Obama about his longtime opposition to the act. It was simple legislation that would require hospitals to care for infants who survive abortion the process implemented to kill them . Obama spoke against the legislation in and and single handedly defeated it in committee in . Stanek stood in Obama s path and told him Senator we are going to pass Born Alive here in Illinois this year. He smiled smoothly and agreed I think you will adding I would have voted for the Born Alive Infant Protection Act in Illinois had it been worded the same as the federal bill. I think that s the position the Democrats should take. He didn t mention that he had personally stopped his committee from adding the federal wording. This kind of legerdemain this slick Willy approach to political ascendancy has already camouflaged Barack Obama s I.D. as the single most liberal voting U.S. senator even to the left of Hillary Clinton. We d better demand to know more about where such a pied piper would lead us before our kids and our nation vanish into the river. Microsoft Response Point to Get Service Pack Small Business Computing

Microsoft plans this summer to release the first service pack for phone systems that run its Response Point communications software for small businesses. Unlike many service packs that provide patches but no new features Service Pack for Response Point will add new capabilities to the system s voice over Internet Protocol VoIP functions Microsoft said in a statement. The announcement came during the first day of the company s Small Business Summit SBS its third such annual event. SP will be available as a free download to existing customers of phone systems running Response Point. Along with the bundled hardware Response Point provides a simplified VoIP phone system for small business that includes interactive voice response IVR capabilities. It supports both VoIP as well as analog phone lines. Microsoft s Response Point is sold as a bundle with the phone system hardware. Aastra Technologies D Link and Quanta Computer will offer Response Point phone systems pre loaded with S! P when it becomes available this summer the statement said. In fact this summer will bring the debut of Aastra s system. I am very pleased that Aastra will join as a new OEM partner shipping their Response Point system later this summer Bob Taniguchi senior director in the Response Point group said in a post on the team s blog earlier this month. One new VoIP feature aims to enable customers to scale their phone service using a VoIP account setup wizard in the Response Point Administrator. Using it a small business can connect with Internet telephony service providers to provision additional VoIP phone numbers in minutes instead of days the company said. Another feature coming in SP will let customers take advantage of Direct Inward Dialing which can be used to selectively forward inbound calls to a particular extension or group of extensions. Scotts Cents March Welcome to the Republican Party Filed under Current Events Politics Scott You may know I ve got the page on my blog with all the e mails we get that we secretly love but pretend to be annoyed by.well this one is so good it gets main page billing I absolutely love this one. AMEN Father Daughter Talk A young woman was about to finish her first year of college. Like so many others her age she considered herself to be a very liberal Democrat and was very much in favor of the redistribution of wealth. She was deeply ashamed that her father was a rather staunch Republican a feeling she openly expressed. Based on the lectures that she had participated in and the oc casional chat with a professor she felt that her father had for years harbored an evil selfish desire to keep what he thought should be his. One day she was challenging her father on his opposition to higher taxes on the rich and the addition of more government welfare programs. The self professed obje! ctivity proclaimed by her professors had to be the truth and she indicated so to her father. He responded by asking how she was doing in school. Taken aback she answered rather haughtily that she had a . GPA and let him know that it w as tough to maintain insisting that she was taking a very difficult course load and was constantly studying which left her no time to go out and party like other people she knew. She didn t even have time for a boyfriend and didn t really have many college friends because she spent all her time studying. Her father listened and then asked How is your friend Audrey doing She replied Audrey is barely getting by. All she takes are easy classes she never studies and she barely has a . GPA. She is so popular on campus college for her is a blast. She s always invited to all the parties and lots of times she doesn t even show up for classes because she s too hung over. Her wise father asked his daughter Why don t you go to the Dean s of fice and ask ! him to deduct a . off your GPA and give it to your friend who only has a . . That way you will both have a . GPA and certainly that would be a fair and equal distribution of GPA. The daughter visibly shocked by her father s suggestion angrily fired back That wouldn t be fair I have worked really hard for my grades I ve invested a lot of time and a lot of hard work Audrey has done next to nothing toward her degree.
